Dear 2nd Grade Parents and Students,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. It is hard to believe that this is my 18th year teaching at St. Stephens!  I taught 4th grade for my first 14 years here and moved to 2nd grade 3 years ago.  I LOVE second grade and am so glad I made the switch.  I graduated from Wayne State College with my B.S. in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Spanish.

I grew up in Orange City Iowa, a small town north of Sioux City. I have 1 younger sister and 1 younger brother who are both teachers as well. My sister is a media specialist in Waseca, MN and my brother teaches elementary P.E. in Elkhorn. My husband is a PC Technician at Catholic Mutual Group. We have 2 sons, Connor and Landon, who keep us very busy. Connor is a freshman at Millard South and Landon is in 5th grade at St. Stephens.

In my free time I love spending time with my family, walking, taking pictures, trying out new recipes, traveling, and shopping.

It is my belief that parents and teachers need to work together to successfully educate your children. The key to that is communication.  I pride myself in communicating with parents on a regular basis.  Never hesitate to reach out whenever you have a question, comment, or concern.  Teaching is my passion and I can't wait to spend this year with your child.  I look forward to watching your child grow both intellectually and spiritually this year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Angie Lowry
